Legion Bath and Kitchen Silicone Sealant White 300ml – 100% Silicone, Waterproof and Mould Resistant

Legion White Bath and Kitchen Silicone Sealant, 300ml

Legion Bath and Kitchen Silicone is a white, 100% silicone sealant in a 300ml cartridge for sealing joints and gaps around baths, showers, basins, sinks, benchtops and splashbacks. The pack states it is 100% waterproof, mould resistant and flexible, with strong adhesion and no primer required, and it is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It cures to a clean white finish that suits most bathrooms and kitchens.

Built for Wet Areas

Bathrooms and kitchens are where sealant works hardest. Water, steam, soap and cleaning products all attack the joints around baths, showers and sinks, and a failed seal lets water seep behind tiles and cabinetry. A 100% silicone sealant stays flexible and waterproof once cured, so it keeps sealing as surfaces expand, contract and move slightly with use. The mould resistant formula helps the joint stay cleaner and whiter for longer in damp, humid rooms.

Flexible Seal Where Surfaces Move

Silicone is the go-to sealant wherever two different materials meet, such as a bath and tiled wall, a benchtop and splashback, or a basin and vanity. These joints move a little with temperature changes, weight and vibration. A rigid filler would crack, but silicone flexes with the movement, keeping the seal intact.

Indoor and Outdoor Sealing

Beyond the bathroom and kitchen, the pack lists it as multi-purpose for indoor and outdoor use. That includes sealing around window frames, door frames, glass, aluminium, tiles and many other non-porous surfaces. Because it is non-paintable, use it where a white silicone finish is wanted, and choose a paintable gap filler for joints that will be painted over.

How to Apply Silicone Neatly

Remove all old sealant, soap scum and mould from the joint, then clean it and let it dry completely, as silicone will not bond to wet or dirty surfaces. For a crisp line, run masking tape along both sides of the joint. Screw on the nozzle, cut the tip at an angle to match the gap width, and load the cartridge into a caulking gun. Apply a steady, continuous bead in one pass, then smooth it with a sealant tool or a wet fingertip dipped in soapy water. Remove the tape straight away, before the silicone skins over. Leave baths and showers unused until the sealant has fully cured, ideally at least 24 hours. Keep the area ventilated while it cures and keep the product out of reach of children.
