Pigeon Grain and Seed Mixes

A good pigeon mix blends grains for energy with peas for protein. JM Pigeon Mix is a versatile blend of grains, seeds and peas for racing, homing, breeding and stock pigeons, available in sizes up to an economical 25kg bag.

JM Produce Premium Pigeon Stock Mix combines hard wheat, sorghum, safflower, dun peas and whole corn as an everyday staple. Avigrain Pigeon Mix and Laucke Mills Pigeon Race & Breed are popular alternatives for lofts of every size.

Dun Peas for Breeding and Moulting

Peas are the main protein source in a pigeon diet, which makes them important during breeding, rearing young and the moult. JM Heavy Breed Dun Peas and Avigrain Dun Peas can be fed on their own or added to your usual mix to raise its protein level when birds need it most.

Grit and Minerals

Tips for Feeding Pigeons

Feed at the same times each day and remove uneaten feed after the meal, so seed stays clean and birds don't become overweight. Adjust the amount to suit the season. Racing and breeding birds need more feed than resting stock birds.

Keep grit and fresh water available at all times, and store feed sealed in a cool, dry place away from rodents. Check new bags for mould or dust before feeding.
