Description
Liquid Seaweed Plant Conditioner for the Whole Garden
Seasol Commercial is a liquid seaweed plant conditioner made from a blend of brown kelps, supplied in a bulk 20 litre drum. It provides a natural range of trace elements, alginates, carbohydrates and other compounds that support overall plant health. It's a plant conditioner and tonic rather than a fertiliser, designed to work alongside your existing fertiliser program, and it's 100% soluble so it can go on as either a soil drench or a foliar spray.
What It Does
Seasol helps plants establish and recover, and it's especially useful around planting and transplanting. It aids plant establishment and reduces transplant shock, stimulates root growth, enhances flowering, and boosts beneficial microbial activity in the soil. It also helps plants better tolerate stresses like heat, drought, frost, and pest and disease pressure. It's safe to use on all plants, including Australian natives, and can be applied at any time of year.
Application Rates
Seasol is diluted with water before use. As a general guide from Seasol, common rates per 9 litres of water are around 20ml for foliar sprays and indoor plants, 30ml for transplanting, vegetables, herbs and established gardens, 50ml for new lawns during establishment, and up to 100ml for lawn maintenance and large or stressed trees. For broadacre and turf use, typical rates are in the order of 5 to 10L per hectare as a foliar spray. Always follow the rates on the drum for your situation.
How to Use
Shake well, then dilute at the rate for your plants and apply to the soil around the plant, the foliage, or both. Apply in the cooler part of the day, early morning or late afternoon, for best absorption. As a general routine, apply every 2 to 4 weeks for established plants, and more often for new lawns or anything being transplanted. Use the diluted solution within 24 hours of mixing, since it's best fresh.
