Incitec Pivot No. 17 Lawn Food is a well-balanced granular lawn fertiliser with added trace elements, made to keep lawns growing strongly with good, even colour. It's a complete NPKS blend based on sulphate of potash, which is a lower-scorch potassium source, and it suits all grass types, from couch and buffalo through to cool-season lawns and playing fields.

Its analysis is nitrogen 9.1%, phosphorus 4.1%, potassium 4.6% and sulphur 18%. The nitrogen drives leaf growth and colour, the phosphorus supports roots, the potassium helps the lawn cope with wear and stress, and the high sulphur content works with the nitrogen for deep, lasting green. It's designed for laying new turf, top-dressing established lawns, and keeping sports turf in good condition.

How to Use

Broadcast the granules evenly and water in well after applying. Incitec Pivot's guidance is:

• Established lawns: 50 g per square metre in spring and autumn, and 10 g per square metre through summer

• Couch, buffalo and other summer-growing lawns and playing fields: 4 to 5 kg per 100 m² (400 to 500 kg/ha), applied three times a year, in March, September and December

Always water in thoroughly after spreading to move the nutrients into the root zone and reduce any risk of leaf burn.

Important Usage Notes

No. 17 Lawn Food is formulated for lawns and turf, not for edible crops. Don't use it on vegetables, or on soil that's periodically cropped to vegetables, as this blend has a comparatively high cadmium content that isn't suitable for food-producing beds. It's also not a stockfeed supplement, and it shouldn't be applied in solution, it isn't fully soluble, so it can't be dissolved for irrigation, water-injection equipment or foliar spraying, and doing so can block filters and nozzles.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place with the bag sealed. Kept dry, granular fertiliser stores well without losing quality.
