Cockroach Killing Bait Powder: 50 Sachets of Fipronil Roach Bait
This is a cockroach bait powder containing 0.05% fipronil, supplied as 50 individual 5 gram sachets. Bait powders like this work very differently to a spray can, and understanding that difference is what gets you a result.
Why Bait Beats Spray for Cockroaches
When you spray a cockroach you kill that one cockroach. The problem is that for every roach you see, there are far more hidden in wall cavities, behind cupboards and under appliances that you'll never reach with a spray.
Fipronil bait works on those hidden ones. It's deliberately slow-acting, so a cockroach that feeds on the bait doesn't die immediately, it returns to its harbourage first. Back in the nest, the active is passed on to others through contact, droppings and the roaches' habit of feeding on dead nest mates. That chain effect means the bait keeps working through a colony you can't see or reach, which is why professional pest control relies on baits rather than sprays for cockroaches.
It's also non-repellent, so roaches don't avoid it the way they scatter from a sprayed surface.
How to Use
-
Placement: put small amounts in the corners and hidden spots cockroaches travel through. One 5g sachet is enough for around 3 to 5 placement points, covering roughly 5 to 8 square metres.
-
Where exactly: under the sink, behind and under the fridge and stove, inside cupboard corners and hinges, along skirting, near pipe entries, in cracks and crevices, and anywhere you've seen droppings.
-
Replace every 7 days, or sooner if the bait is being eaten quickly.
-
Heavy infestations: increase both the amount of bait and the number of placement points rather than putting more in one spot.
One important tip: don't spray insecticide around your bait placements. Sprays repel cockroaches away from the area and kill them before they can carry the bait back to the nest, which defeats the whole point. Choose one approach and let the bait do its work.
Placement matters far more than quantity. Many small placements in the right hidden spots beat a few large piles in the open, since cockroaches travel along edges and stay under cover.
Safety
Do not apply in any areas easily accessible to children or animals. Keep it away from food, food preparation surfaces and utensils. May irritate the eyes and skin, so avoid contact and wash your hands after use. Do not contaminate streams or waterways with the product or used packaging. Keep out of reach of children.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does cockroach bait powder work?
Cockroaches feed on the bait and return to their hiding places before the active takes effect. Back in the harbourage the active spreads to others through contact and droppings, so the bait reaches roaches you never see.
Where should I put it?
In hidden spots along cockroach travel routes: under the sink, behind the fridge and stove, in cupboard corners, along skirting, near pipe entries and in cracks. Cockroaches move along edges under cover, not across open floors.
How much should I use?
One 5g sachet covers around 3 to 5 placement points, treating roughly 5 to 8 square metres. For a heavy infestation, use more placement points rather than bigger piles.
How often should I replace it?
Every 7 days as a general rule, or sooner if the bait is disappearing quickly, which is a sign of high activity.
Can I use it alongside a cockroach spray?
It's better not to. Sprays repel cockroaches from the area and kill them before they can carry bait back to the nest, which undermines the bait's main advantage. Pick one method.
How long before I see results?
Bait is deliberately slow-acting so roaches survive long enough to return to the nest. You'll typically see activity drop off progressively over days rather than immediately, and the reduction continues as the effect spreads through the colony.
Why isn't it working?
Usually placement. Bait left in open areas gets ignored, since cockroaches stay under cover. Move placements into corners, crevices and behind appliances, and add more points. Also check you haven't sprayed insecticide nearby.
How many sachets are in the box?
50 sachets of 5 grams each.
