Neutrog Sudden Impact for Roses is an organic-based, boosted fertiliser in pellet form for roses and flowering and fruiting plants. This is the larger 10kg tub, which suits keen rose growers, bigger rose gardens or anyone feeding a lot of flowering plants across a full season. It has an analysis of 9:4:12 (N:P:K) plus the full range of secondary nutrients and micronutrients in a natural form, with boosted iron and magnesium for strong growth and rich flower colour.

How It's Made & How It Works

The organic base provides a full range of plant nutrients in a slow-release form, while carefully selected water-soluble nutrients are added to get the most out of each application. The organic raw materials are conditioned through a unique composting process, then the water-soluble nutrients are blended into the organic base before being pasteurised and pelleted. That combination of a composted organic base and available nutrients is what gives the strong, sustained results.

What It's For

It's ideal for roses and for most flowering and fruiting plants. It isn't suitable for Australian natives, which need a native-specific fertiliser. For bare-rooted roses at planting, Neutrog recommends using Seamungus rather than Sudden Impact, then moving to Sudden Impact once the plant is established.

Application Rates

For established rose bushes, apply around 100g per bush. For established potted roses, apply about 15g for a 150mm pot, increasing by around 5g for each 25mm increase in pot size. For general garden use on other flowering and fruiting plants, apply around 100g per square metre every 8 to 10 weeks through the growing season. At planting, including bare-rooted roses, use Seamungus at around 100g per plant instead, then switch to Sudden Impact once established. The 10kg tub goes a long way at these rates, which is what makes it economical for larger rose gardens.

How to Use

Apply the pellets evenly to pre-soaked soil around the drip line of the plant, then water in well. Keep the fertiliser at least 20cm away from the base of the plant, and avoid contact with foliage and flowers. Start applying after you see signs of new season growth, and repeat every 8 to 10 weeks through the growing season. In winter, switch to Neutrog Seamungus.
