Kendon Sprayquat 250 is a fast-acting, non-selective contact herbicide for controlling a wide range of grasses and broadleaf weeds in approved agricultural, horticultural and non-agricultural situations. It contains 250g/L paraquat, present as paraquat dichloride.

Sprayquat works by damaging the green plant tissue contacted by the spray, producing rapid knockdown of actively growing weeds. It is not moved throughout the plant, so thorough and even foliage coverage is important for reliable results.

What It Does

Rapid weed knockdown. Sprayquat quickly burns down contacted green foliage, helping reduce competition from susceptible weeds before planting, between crop rows or in other situations listed on the label.

Controls grasses and broadleaf weeds. It controls annual grasses and most annual broadleaf weeds listed in the Directions for Use. Capeweed is excluded unless the label-specified partner treatment is used.

Contact action. Paraquat affects the parts of the plant reached by the spray. Dense, dusty, stressed or poorly covered weeds may receive less effective control.

No residual weed control. Paraquat becomes strongly bound and herbicidally inactive after contacting soil, so Sprayquat does not provide ongoing soil-residual weed control.

How to Use

There is no single Kendon Sprayquat 250 mixing ratio for every application. The correct rate depends on the crop or situation, target weed, weed growth stage, location, spray volume and application equipment.

Apply only at the rates and in the situations shown on the label attached to the container. Spray weeds while they are young, actively growing and free from heavy dust, soil or dew. Do not apply to plants stressed by drought, frost, waterlogging or other adverse conditions.

Sprayquat contains a wetting agent. Additional wetter is only required under the specific low-rate, high-volume or problem-weed situations stated on the label. The current label also states that rain following application will not affect results, but plants covered with heavy dew should not be sprayed.
