Brunnings Extra Strength Feed 'n Weed for Lawns 1L – Weed and Feed Lawn Fertiliser Concentrate

Weed and Feed for Lawns in One Concentrate

Brunnings Extra Strength Feed 'n Weed is a weed and feed concentrate that feeds your lawn while selectively killing broadleaf weeds in the same application. It contains 23g/L MCPA and 3.5g/L dicamba to control weeds such as bindii, clover and dandelion, plus lawn nutrients to encourage healthy grass growth. One 1L bottle treats up to 100 square metres, and it can be applied with a watering can, pump sprayer or as a refill for a hose-on applicator.

What Does Weed and Feed Kill?

Brunnings Extra Strength Feed 'n Weed targets common broadleaf lawn weeds, including:

• Bindii
• Capeweed
• Catsear (flatweed)
• Clover
• Dandelion
• Dock
• Lambs tongue
• Plantains
• Thistles

It is selective, so it kills these broadleaf weeds without harming suitable lawn grasses. It does not control grassy weeds such as winter grass or summer grass.

Lawn Fertiliser and Selective Weed Killer in One

Most lawns need two jobs done in spring: a feed to green up the grass and a treatment to clear out weeds. This feed and weed for lawns combines a lawn fertiliser with a selective lawn weedkiller, so one spray does both. As a grass weed and feed, it helps thicken the lawn while weeds die off, and a thicker lawn leaves less room for new weeds to establish. It is a convenient weed killer for lawns where bindii, clover and dandelion have crept in.

Extra Strength MCPA and Dicamba

The extra strength formula uses two hormone-type herbicides, MCPA and dicamba, both as dimethylamine salts. They mimic plant growth hormones in broadleaf weeds, causing twisted, distorted growth and collapse, while lawn grasses are tolerant at the label rate. Results show as weeds curl and brown over the following days to weeks.

Check Your Grass Type

Feed 'n Weed products containing MCPA and dicamba suit common lawns such as couch, kikuyu and other tolerant grasses. Some weed and feed formulations are not suitable for buffalo, so always check the label on your pack for the grass types it can be used on before spraying.
