SureFire Dicamba-M is a selective broadleaf herbicide that clears a wide range of lawn and turf weeds without harming most common grasses. It contains two actives, 340 g/L MCPA and 80 g/L dicamba (both as the dimethylamine salt), and is a Group 4 herbicide. It's used on home lawns, sports fields, parks, golf tees, greens and fairways and bowling greens, as well as for broadleaf weed control in winter cereals, pastures and non-crop areas. It's also glyphosate-free.
Both actives are systemic and work like plant growth hormones. They're absorbed through the leaves and roots and move through the weed, causing distorted growth, leaf curl, yellowing and eventual death, while leaving suitable lawn grasses standing.
What It Controls
Dicamba-M controls a broad spectrum of broadleaf weeds, including bindii (jo-jo / onehunga), capeweed, cat's ear, chickweed, clovers, cotula, creeping oxalis, cudweed, dandelion, dock, fleabane, fumitory, lamb's tongue, medics, mustard, plantain, pearlwort, pennywort, peppercress, radish, scarlet pimpernel, thistles, toad rush, wild turnip and wireweed (hogweed).
Lawn Compatibility
Dicamba-M is safe to use on couch, kikuyu and fescue lawns. It is not suitable for buffalo lawns, and will damage or kill buffalo grass, so don't use it on buffalo or where buffalo runners are present. If you have a buffalo lawn, choose a herbicide specifically registered for buffalo instead.
How to Use
Dicamba-M mixes with water and is applied to actively growing weeds. As a general label guide:

Knapsack / small areas and golf greens: 100 mL in 15 L of water to cover about 150 m²

Bowling greens: around 900 mL in 200 L of water per 1,400 m²

Large areas (fields, fairways): around 6.5 L per hectare in 250 to 400 L of water
A 1 litre bottle treats up to around 1,500 m² of lawn. Always follow the label rate for your situation. For best results, don't mow for at least 2 days before or after spraying, don't spray if rain is likely within 4 hours or when weeds are wet with dew, and avoid spraying weeds stressed by heat or waterlogging. Keep pets off the treated area until it has dried.
