Etridiazole Soil Fungicide for Pythium & Phytophthora
Terrazole 350WP is a soil-applied fungicide containing 350g/kg etridiazole, supplied as a wettable powder in a 2kg pack. It's used for the prevention and control of damping off, root rot and stem diseases caused by Pythium and Phytophthora species in turf, ornamentals and nursery crops. It's a Group X (Group 14) fungicide, which makes it a useful rotation tool for managing these oomycete diseases.
How It Works
Etridiazole works against oomycete fungi (Pythium and Phytophthora) with a mode of action that sets it apart from many other fungicide groups, so it fits well into a resistance-management rotation. It moves systemically within the plant and has strong activity in the soil and root zone, giving both preventative and curative control. For the best result, apply it when disease symptoms first appear.
How to Use
Refer to the product label for the exact rates and directions for your crop and situation. In general, it's applied as a soil drench on ornamentals and nursery crops, or as a spray to turf, with repeat applications at the intervals given on the label if the disease pressure continues. Keep the mix agitated for even application, and where it's applied as a drench, water it in as directed so it reaches the root zone. Always follow the label for rates, timing and any crop-specific directions.
Safety & Handling
This is an agricultural chemical, scheduled Poison Schedule 5 (Caution). Wear suitable protective clothing including chemical-resistant gloves when handling and mixing it, and wash your hands after use. Do not apply it directly to water, and do not contaminate dams, streams or waterways when using it or cleaning equipment, as etridiazole can move into surface water. Store it in the closed original container in a cool, well-ventilated place away from children, food and feed. Always read the full label and safety directions before use.
