Description

Eco Organic Garden eco-fungicide 500g

Eco Organic Garden eco-fungicide is a concentrated organic fungicide for controlling powdery mildew, rose black spot and geranium rust in Australian home gardens.

Its contact-action formula attacks existing external fungal growth and leaves a protective coating that helps prevent new spores from germinating. Complete coverage of affected leaves and stems is essential for effective control.

Plants & Diseases Controlled

eco-fungicide is registered for use on:

  • Tomatoes – powdery mildew

  • Capsicums – powdery mildew

  • Cucumbers – powdery mildew

  • Strawberries – powdery mildew

  • Zucchini – powdery mildew

  • Roses – powdery mildew and black spot

  • Grapevines – powdery mildew

  • Geraniums and pelargoniums – rust

Product Details

  • Brand: Eco Organic Garden

  • Product name: eco-fungicide

  • Pack size: 500g

  • Product type: Concentrated contact fungicide

  • Active constituent: 940g/kg potassium bicarbonate

  • Diseases controlled: Powdery mildew, black spot and rust

  • Maximum spray volume: Up to approximately 160 litres

  • Withholding period: Not required when used as directed

  • APVMA approval number: 64510/57313

  • Organic status: Approved for use in organic gardens

How eco-fungicide Works

The activated potassium bicarbonate must contact the fungal organism directly. It disrupts fungal cells, causing their walls to collapse.

eco-fungicide rapidly controls external powdery mildew spores and fungal growth. Under severe disease pressure or highly favourable disease conditions, suppression rather than complete control may occur.

How to Mix

  • Half-fill the spray tank with clean water

  • Slowly add the required amount of eco-fungicide while stirring

  • Add the required emulsified vegetable oil, such as eco-oil

  • Top up with the remaining water

  • Mix thoroughly before spraying

  • Agitate the mixture during application

  • Use the prepared spray within 24 hours

  • Do not store mixed solution for future use

Application Rates

Vegetables & Strawberries – Powdery Mildew

For tomatoes, capsicums, cucumbers, strawberries and zucchini:

  • Mix 30–40g in 10 litres of water

  • Add 20mL of emulsified vegetable oil

  • Begin spraying at the first sign of disease

  • Repeat every 7–10 days

  • Use the higher rate and shorter interval during rapid plant growth or severe disease pressure

Roses – Powdery Mildew & Black Spot

  • Mix 30–40g in 10 litres of water

  • Add 20mL of emulsified vegetable oil

  • Begin at the first sign of disease

  • Repeat every 10–14 days as new growth or infection develops

  • Cover all foliage thoroughly

Grapevines – Powdery Mildew

  • Mix 40g in 10 litres of water

  • Add 20mL of emulsified vegetable oil

  • Begin at the first sign of disease

  • Repeat every 10–14 days when conditions favour infection

Geraniums – Rust

  • Mix 40g in 10 litres of water

  • Add 30mL of emulsified vegetable oil

  • Begin at the first sign of rust

  • Repeat every seven days

  • Spray all plant surfaces, particularly beneath the leaves

Application Tips

eco-fungicide is a contact spray, so complete coverage is important.

  • Spray the upper and lower surfaces of leaves

  • Treat plants when disease first appears

  • Avoid spraying plants suffering from heat or moisture stress

  • Apply enough solution to cover foliage thoroughly

  • Do not allow excessive spray runoff

  • Repeat treatment only at the labelled interval

  • Follow the current container label if directions differ

Using with eco-oil

The manufacturer recommends adding eco-oil at approximately 2mL per litre to improve spreading and adhesion.

eco-oil may also be added at its regular labelled strength to create a combined insecticide and fungicide treatment where both product labels permit the mixture. Do not apply oil sprays within 10 days of using chlorothalonil.

Safety & Storage

  • Keep out of reach of children

  • Avoid contact with the eyes

  • Wash hands thoroughly after use

  • Store in the original closed container

  • Keep in a cool and dry location

  • Protect from direct sunlight

  • Do not allow the product or spray mixture to enter drains, streams or ponds

  • Read the complete label before mixing or applying
