It's formulated with 18% protein and balanced energy to support steady, healthy development of bone, muscle and feathers, without the high calcium of a layer ration (too much calcium too early can harm a pullet's kidneys before she starts laying). Feeding a proper grower now sets the foundation for good egg production later, once she moves onto a layer feed at point of lay.
