The Solo 453 is an 11 litre wheeled pressure sprayer that takes the lifting out of spraying larger areas. Instead of carrying a heavy tank on your back or shoulder, you simply pull the trolley along on its wheels, which makes a real difference over long runs of weeds, big garden beds or moving between jobs. Solo is a German brand that's been making sprayers since 1948, and the 453 is their well-regarded home and garden trolley model.
The wheels carry the weight, so the effort goes into spraying, not hauling. Just a few strokes of the piston pump build the pressure you need in the 11 litre tank, and the large pump handle is easy to grip even with gloves on.

11 litre tank: the UV-resistant transparent tank holds plenty for large gardens and lawns, and lets you see the fluid level at a glance. The wide funnel-shaped neck makes filling and cleaning easy.

2.5 m spiral hose: gives good reach for getting into dense foliage, tall plants and hard-to-reach spots without moving the trolley constantly.

40 cm wand and adjustable nozzle: the plastic wand extends your reach, and the nozzle adjusts from a fine mist to a direct jet to suit the job. The wand clips onto the pump handle for transport and storage.

Height-adjustable handle: the aluminium handle adjusts to a comfortable height and has a soft grip, and it's what keeps the unit light at just 3.5 kg dry.

What You Can Spray
The 453 is suitable for applying herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and liquid fertilisers, as well as plain water, across gardens, lawns, orchards and larger outdoor areas. It has Viton seals for good chemical resistance. As always, follow the directions on the product you're applying, and rinse the sprayer out after use, especially when switching between herbicides and other products.
