Richgro Ant Killa is a granular insecticide for controlling ants around the home and garden, supplied in a 1kg pack. How It Works

Bifenthrin works on contact, so the granules need to be applied where ants are actually active, such as directly on nests and along trails. You may still see ants for up to a couple of days after applying, which is normal while the colony picks up the treatment. It's not a one-application product, so keep treating until all ant activity has stopped.

How to Use

Find where the ants are nesting and travelling, then spread the granules on and around the nests, along trails, and in cracks, under pavers and along garden edges where ants hide. A light watering in activates the granules and washes them deeper into nests and trails. For heavy infestations, apply at the higher rate on the label, and reapply every couple of months or whenever ants reappear. Always read and follow the label directions.

Safety & Handling

This is an insecticide and it's toxic if eaten, so keep it away from children and pets, and store it in the closed original pack out of their reach. Wear gloves when handling the granules and wash your hands afterwards. Once the granules have been watered in and the area has dried, the treated area is safer around family and pets. Do not apply it directly on or around edible plants, herbs or vegetable gardens, only in non-edible garden beds and ornamental areas. Bifenthrin is very highly toxic to fish and other aquatic life, so keep it away from ponds, drains and waterways. Always read the full label before use.
