RATSAK Fast Action Bait Station 50g: No-Touch Single-Feed Rat and Mouse Bait
The RATSAK Fast Action Bait Station 50g is a no-fuss, ready-to-use bait for controlling rats and mice, with single-feed pellet bait sealed inside a disposable station so there is no need to touch the bait. The pellets use the fast-acting active constituent brodifacoum (0.05g/kg), which works on a single feed and stays effective even against rodents that have become resistant to older baits such as warfarin. To activate it, you simply push the tab and tear back the perforated lid to expose the bait, then place the station where rodents are active.
Keeping the bait enclosed in a station is both more hygienic and more effective. There is no handling of loose pellets, and rodents feed directly from the station. It also helps keep the bait more contained than scattering loose bait around. The pellets include a bittering agent, which helps discourage accidental consumption by children.
At 50g, each station is a convenient single unit you can place exactly where it is needed, and add more stations for heavier activity or for rats, which need more bait than mice.

How to Use
Place the station where you have seen signs of rodent activity, along walls or rafters and in dark, sheltered spots, since rats and mice travel along edges rather than in the open. Push the tab and tear back the flap to expose and activate the bait. Follow the label rates:
-
For mice: use a single 50g station at one or more locations (less than 1g will kill a mouse). Do not exceed 3m between baits for mice.
-
For rats: use 1 to 2 stations (50g to 100g) at each location (4 to 6g will kill a rat). Do not exceed 9m between baits for rats.
-
Do not place baits in the open.
Inspect baits frequently, especially in the first 10 days, and replace any bait that has been eaten. If a station is completely consumed, increase the quantity at that spot. Keep replenishing until the bait is left untouched. Expect to bait for at least 2 weeks to reduce numbers.
Safety and Responsible Use
-
Try not to touch the bait. Handling it can deter rats and mice from eating it, and it is better hygiene. Wear rubber gloves when handling any remaining bait or dead rodents.
-
Keep away from pets, children and wildlife. Place stations where non-target animals cannot reach them. Outdoors, it is best practice to use a lockable, securable, weather-resistant bait station.
-
Remove alternative food sources. Clearing away other food makes rodents far more likely to take the bait.
-
Antidote information. Brodifacoum is an anticoagulant. If a person or pet swallows the bait, act immediately: for people call the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26, and for pets contact your vet straight away. The antidote is Vitamin K1, and prompt treatment matters.
-
Clean up afterwards. After treatment, remove all remaining bait and containers, and search for and collect dead rats and mice so pets and wildlife don't eat a poisoned carcass. Wear gloves and bag them for disposal.
-
Always read and follow the product label. Do not use for any purpose or in any manner contrary to the label unless authorised.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the RATSAK Fast Action Bait Station work?
It is a ready-to-use station holding single-feed pellet bait with the active constituent brodifacoum at 0.05g/kg. You tear back the lid to expose the bait, place the station in a rodent-active area, and rodents feed on a single visit.
How much bait do I need for rats versus mice?
For mice, a single 50g station per location is enough (less than 1g kills a mouse). For rats, use 1 to 2 stations (50g to 100g) per location (4 to 6g kills a rat). Keep baits within 3m for mice and 9m for rats.
Do I have to touch the bait?
No. The bait stays inside the station and you activate it by tearing back the lid. It is best not to touch the bait at all, as handling can deter rodents from eating it.
How long does it take to work?
Most deaths occur 4 to 7 days after the bait is eaten, and can occur for up to 2 weeks. Plan to bait for at least 2 weeks to bring numbers down.
Can I use it outdoors?
Only where it is protected. Do not place bait in the open. Outdoors, best practice is to use a lockable, securable, weather-resistant bait station.
Where can I buy the RATSAK Fast Action Bait Station 50g in Australia?
