Description
RATSAK Double Strength Rat & Mouse Bait Station 350g
RATSAK Double Strength is a ready-to-use pellet bait station for controlling rats and mice in domestic areas. The pack can be activated and placed directly where rodent activity is evident, reducing the need to handle loose bait.
The pellets contain warfarin, a first-generation anticoagulant rodenticide. Rats and mice must feed repeatedly over several days to consume a lethal dose, so an uninterrupted bait supply should be maintained for at least 14 days.

How It Works
Warfarin prevents normal blood clotting. As a multiple-feed rodenticide, it must be consumed over several consecutive feedings before a lethal dose is reached.
First-generation anticoagulants break down in rodents faster than second-generation anticoagulants, which lowers—but does not eliminate—the risk of secondary poisoning to animals that consume poisoned rodents.
Important Safety Information
RATSAK Double Strength is poisonous if swallowed and is hazardous to dogs, cats, pigs, poultry, native wildlife and other non-target animals.
-
Keep bait inaccessible to children and animals
-
Do not touch pellets with bare hands
-
Avoid breathing pellet dust
-
Wash hands and exposed skin after use
-
Keep bait away from food and animal feed
-
Do not place bait where pets can reach it
-
Prevent pellets from entering drains, ponds or waterways
-
Search for and remove dead rodents regularly
-
Wrap carcasses securely before placing them in household garbage
-
Never reuse a container that has held rodent bait
The bittering agent helps discourage accidental consumption, but it does not make the bait pet-safe.
Accidental Poisoning
If the bait is swallowed, contact a doctor or the Australian Poisons Information Centre immediately on 13 11 26. Do not induce vomiting unless directed by a medical professional.
Vitamin K1 is the recognised antidote for warfarin poisoning and must be administered under medical or veterinary supervision.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the active ingredient in RATSAK Double Strength?
It contains 0.5g/kg warfarin, a first-generation anticoagulant rodenticide.
Does it control both rats and mice?
Yes. RATSAK Double Strength is registered as a pellet bait for controlling rats and mice in domestic situations.
Is it a single-feed rat bait?
No. It is a multiple-feed bait. Rodents need to feed repeatedly over several days to consume a lethal dose.
How long should I leave the bait station out?
Maintain an uninterrupted bait supply for at least 14 days and check the station every one to two days. Remove it when rodent feeding has stopped.
Where should I place the bait?
Place it under cover in dark, sheltered locations where rodent activity is visible, such as along walls, inside roof spaces, laundries, kitchens or sheds.
Can I place it outside in the open?
No. The label states that bait should not be placed in open areas. It must remain sheltered and inaccessible to children and non-target animals.
Is RATSAK Double Strength safe around pets?
No. The product is hazardous to dogs, cats, poultry and other animals. A lower secondary-poisoning risk does not mean there is no risk.
What should I do with dead rodents?
Collect carcasses promptly, wrap them in paper, place them inside a plastic bag and dispose of them in household garbage according to the label.
Does the bittering agent make the bait child-safe?
No. It may discourage accidental eating, but the bait remains poisonous and must be stored and placed completely out of reach.
