This Seedling Mix is a premium fine growing medium made from a 50/50 blend of peat moss and perlite, designed to give seeds and cuttings the best possible start. Seed raising has different needs to normal potting: young seeds and delicate new roots want a light, fine, free-draining medium that holds moisture without going heavy or waterlogged, and that is exactly what this blend delivers. The peat moss holds consistent moisture around the germinating seed, while the perlite keeps the mix open and airy so oxygen reaches the roots and excess water drains away.

Water gently, ideally from below or with a fine mist so you don't disturb the seeds, and keep the mix consistently moist but never sopping wet while seeds germinate. Once seedlings have their first true leaves, you can prick them out into larger cells or pots.
