Description
Garden Wooden Pathway Roll-Out 8ft: Curved Fir Wood Walkway Mat
Most garden paths involve digging, levelling, gravel, edging and a weekend of work, or a paver who charges accordingly. This roll-out pathway skips all of it. You unroll it across grass, gravel or sand and you have a walkway, in about a minute.
It's made from fir wood slats connected with wire and rubber spacers, measures 240 x 43 cm, and comes with ground pegs to anchor it down.
Where It Actually Earns Its Place
The obvious use is a muddy patch. Anywhere foot traffic has worn the grass down to dirt turns into a mess after rain, and you end up tracking it inside. Rolling a path over it solves the problem straight away.
It also works well for:
-
The worn track across the lawn where everyone cuts the corner to the shed, clothesline or bins
-
Side paths down the house, which are almost always narrow, shaded and permanently damp
-
Vegetable garden rows, keeping your feet clean and stopping you compacting the soil
-
Greenhouses, chicken runs and sheds, where the ground stays wet
-
Rentals, since nothing is dug, fixed or altered, and it comes with you when you move
-
Temporary paths for events, or seasonal use over winter
Curved and Repositionable
The slats are connected with wire and rubber spacers rather than fixed in a rigid frame, so the path flexes and curves around garden beds, trees and corners instead of forcing you into a straight line. Because it's flexible and rolls up, you can move it whenever you like, follow the sun, change the layout, or roll it up and store it out of the way.
Anchoring and Grip
Peg rings and ground pegs are included so the path can be anchored firmly into soil or lawn, which stops it shifting underfoot and keeps it from creeping out of position over time. The timber slats give a textured, non-slip surface underfoot, which is a real improvement over stepping onto wet grass or mud.
No Installation Required
There's no trenching, levelling, cutting or fixing. Roll it out, position it, peg it down. Removal is just as fast, which matters if you mow around it, need to reseed the lawn underneath, or are only using it for part of the year.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is it?
240 cm, which is roughly 8 feet, and 43 cm wide. For a longer path, lay several rolls end to end.
Does it need any installation?
No. Roll it out where you want it and peg it down using the included ground pegs and peg rings. There's no digging, levelling or fixing involved.
Can it curve around corners?
Yes. The slats are joined with wire and rubber spacers rather than a rigid frame, so the path bends around garden beds, trees and corners.
Will it move around when I walk on it?
The included pegs anchor it into soil or lawn to keep it in place. On soft ground pegs hold well; on very hard or compacted ground you may need to water the area first to get the pegs in.
Can I use it on grass, gravel and sand?
Yes, it's designed to roll out over grass, gravel or sand. It works best on reasonably even ground, so clear away any large stones or lumps first.
Can I move it later?
Easily. Pull the pegs, roll it up and relocate or store it. That's one of its main advantages over a permanent path, and it makes it a good option for renters.
Is it slippery when wet?
The timber slats give a textured surface with better grip than wet grass or mud. As with any timber outdoors, take normal care in wet or frosty conditions.
How do I look after it?
Keep it clear of built-up leaves and debris, which trap moisture against the timber. Lifting and storing it over long wet periods, or when it's not in use, will extend its life.
