ELI Metal Poultry Feeder with Handle 5kg (300012) – Galvanised Chicken Feeder

Galvanised 5kg Poultry Feeder with Handle

The ELI Metal Poultry Feeder is a sturdy galvanised feeder that holds up to 5kg of feed for your flock. Made from heavy-duty galvanised metal, it stands up well to weather and daily use, and its 5kg capacity is a handy size for a small to medium backyard flock, big enough to keep feed up to the birds without being bulky to fill and move. With a strong handle and a ribbed base, it is a practical, long-lasting feeder for the coop or run.

Ribbed Base Reduces Feed Waste

The feeder's ribbed base pan is designed to cut down on wasted feed. The ribs help stop chooks flicking and scratching feed out of the pan as they eat, which is one of the main ways feed gets wasted. Rather than a smooth-sided pan that lets birds scratch the feed out, this design helps keep more of it in the pan where it belongs, saving feed over time.

Strong Handle for Carrying and Hanging

The strong handle makes the feeder easy to carry when full and also lets you hang it up in the coop or run. Hanging it keeps the feed up off the ground, which helps keep it cleaner and further reduces spillage and scratching compared with a feeder on the floor. The lid on top helps keep the feed protected inside.

Built to Last

Galvanised metal is corrosion-resistant and hard-wearing, so this feeder copes with knocks, weather and everyday use season after season. It is a solid, buy-once feeder that stands up better than lighter, cheaper options.

How to Use

Fill the feeder with your poultry feed and refit the lid. Stand it on a flat, level surface or hang it by the handle at around the birds' back height, so feed flows into the base pan as they eat. Position it in a sheltered spot to help keep the feed dry, and check the level regularly, topping up as needed. Empty and clean the feeder from time to time, and keep it dry when stored to protect the galvanised finish.
