Wax Block Rat Bait & Mouse Bait for Bait Stations

The solid wax blocks stay fresh and palatable in damp conditions and won't spill when loading bait stations. Each block has a universal shape with a central hole, so it fits standard tamper-resistant bait stations and can be secured on the station's rod.

Under current APVMA instructions, this bait must be used indoors only and secured in a tamper-resistant bait station. Place stations 2–3m apart, ideally along walls where rodents travel, and fix them to the floor or another structure where possible.

Multi-Feed Difenacoum Bait – Effective on Warfarin-Resistant Rodents

Home Choice is a multi-feed bait, so rodents, especially rats, may need to feed several times to take a lethal dose. Difenacoum is a second-generation anticoagulant, which makes it effective against rats and mice that have become resistant to older warfarin baits.

Most rodents die 4–7 days after feeding. With mice, activity may continue for up to two weeks. Inspect stations daily, replenish bait until feeding stops, and do not treat an infestation for longer than 35 days.

How to Use

1. Read the Instructions: Read the label and the APVMA instructions for use supplied with this product. Wear disposable gloves and do not touch the bait with bare hands.
2. Find Rodent Activity: Look for droppings, gnaw marks, nesting material and runways. Remove alternative food sources where possible.
3. Load Bait Stations: Secure blocks inside tamper-resistant bait stations, using the station rod where fitted. Never place blocks in the open.
4. Position Indoors Only: Set stations 2–3m apart, ideally along walls, out of reach of children, pets and other animals. Keep them away from exposed food, food preparation and food storage areas, and fix stations to the floor or a structure where possible.
5. Inspect and Replenish: Check stations daily and top up bait until there is no more evidence of feeding. Do not use the product for longer than 35 days. If rodents are still active after 35 days, contact the supplier or a pest control service.
6. Remove Dead Rodents: At each check, search for and remove dead rodents to prevent secondary poisoning. Wear disposable gloves.
7. Dispose and Clean Up: Wrap dead rodents and uneaten bait in paper, seal in a plastic bag and put in the garbage. Wash hands, skin and clothes thoroughly afterwards.
