6 LED Solar Wall Light – Outdoor Fence, Step and Garden Light with Lattice Design

6 LED Solar Wall Light: Soft Marker Lighting for Steps, Fences and Paths

This 6 LED solar wall light adds a gentle, decorative glow to fences, garden walls, steps, decks and pathways. The black lattice cover over a frosted diffuser gives it a classic, lantern-like look by day and casts a soft, patterned glow at night. It charges from the sun during the day and switches on automatically at dusk, with no wiring and no running costs. Choose warm white for a cosy feel or white for a crisper look.

Light the Way, Not the Whole Yard

Small solar wall lights like this are designed as marker and accent lights rather than floodlights. Placed along a fence, beside steps or on deck posts, they outline edges, show where the path goes and help people find their footing after dark. Several spaced along a fence line or stairway create a welcoming, evenly lit look that suits Australian backyards, courtyards and entertaining areas.

Bigger Battery for Longer Nights

Inside is an 1800mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery, charged by a laminated polycrystalline solar panel on top. After 6 to 8 hours of sunlight, the light can glow for around 8 to 10 hours, keeping steps and paths lit through the evening. A built-in light sensor turns it on at dusk and off at dawn automatically.

Made for Outdoor Conditions

The high-impact ABS housing is designed to handle rain, heat and cooler nights, making it suitable for year-round outdoor use in most Australian climates. It's compact and lightweight, so it mounts easily on timber fences, brick walls, deck posts and step risers with the supplied fixings.

Ideal Mounting Height for Solar Wall and Step Lights

• Steps and stairs: mount on the wall beside the stairs about 30 to 50cm above each step, or on the step riser itself, so light falls onto the tread where people walk.
• Fences: 1 to 1.5m above the ground works well for lighting a path or garden bed along the fence, while mounting lower, around 60 to 90cm, focuses the glow on the ground.
• Deck posts and walls: around 60cm to 1m high gives a good balance of visibility and ground light.

Whatever the height, the solar panel on top must get direct sun during the day, so avoid spots under eaves, deep shade or dense overhanging trees. In Australia, a north-facing fence or wall usually gets the most sun.

Installation Tips

Charge the light in full sun for a day before mounting. Hold it in position at dusk to check the effect before drilling. Space lights about 1.5 to 2m apart along steps and fences for even coverage. Wipe the solar panel clean every few weeks to keep charging strong.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the ideal mounting height for 6 LED solar wall and step lights?
For steps, mount about 30 to 50cm above each step or on the riser. On fences, 60cm to 1.5m high works well, depending on whether you want a ground glow or wider light. Make sure the panel gets direct sun.

It's a soft marker and accent light, with 6 LEDs at 2 lumens each. It's ideal for outlining steps, fences and paths rather than lighting up a whole yard.

How long does it stay on?
After 6 to 8 hours of sun, it glows for around 8 to 10 hours.

Does it turn on automatically?
Yes. A light sensor turns it on at dusk and off at dawn.
