Plastic Chick Trough with Lid 300mm (122) – Anti-Waste Chick & Poultry Feeder

Compact Chick Feeder Trough with Hole-Grid Lid

The Plastic Chick Trough with Lid is a compact 300mm green feeder made for feeding chicks and young poultry. Its lid has a row of feeding holes that let the chicks reach the feed while stopping them standing in the trough and scratching it out or fouling it. It is a tidy, low-cost feeder that keeps feed clean and contained, and the 300mm size suits a small brood or a starter setup in the brooder or coop.

Feeding Holes That Cut Waste

Feed waste and fouling are a real problem when feeding chicks from an open dish, as they climb straight in. The hole lid on this trough solves that. Chicks put their heads through the holes to feed but cannot climb inside, so they cannot scratch the feed out or soil it with droppings. That keeps more of the feed usable and the trough more hygienic, which matters with young, vulnerable birds.

Several Chicks Feed at Once

The row of holes lets several chicks feed side by side along the trough, rather than crowding around one point, which helps make sure the smaller chicks get their share. At 300mm it is a good size for a small brood, and it is easy to add more troughs as the number of birds grows.

Hinged Lid, Easy to Fill and Clean

The trough has a hinged lid, so filling is quick and there is no separate lid to misplace. The durable green plastic wipes and rinses clean easily, so you can keep fresh feed up to the chicks and stay on top of hygiene, which is important for healthy young birds.
