Agral is a non-ionic organic surfactant (wetting agent) from Syngenta, used as a spray adjuvant to improve the performance of herbicide, insecticide and fungicide sprays. The active constituent is 600g/L nonyl phenol ethylene oxide condensate. This is the 5 litre pack. Added to your spray mix, Agral helps the spray spread and stick to the leaf instead of beading up and running off, which improves coverage and the effectiveness of the product you're applying.

How It Works

Agral reduces the surface tension of the spray solution, so droplets spread out evenly across the leaf, including waxy, hard-to-wet foliage that water normally beads off. Better spread means better contact and coverage, which is what improves the performance of the chemical you're mixing it with. It's the recommended non-ionic surfactant for use across the Syngenta range, and it's compatible with a wide range of insecticides, fungicides and herbicides.

How to Use

Agral mixes easily with water and should be added directly to the spray tank. As a general guide from the label, a typical rate is around 10ml per 100L of spray (about 2ml per 15L knapsack), with a higher rate used for waxy-leaved plants that are harder to wet. Do not add it directly to undiluted sprays, and don't add it to products that already contain adequate wetting agent. Only add a wetter where the individual product label directs, since using one with a selective herbicide outside label directions can reduce crop safety. Spray only to the point where the leaves are just wet, because spraying past that causes runoff and loss of product and effectiveness. Always follow the rates and directions on the Agral label and on the label of the product you're mixing it with.

Agral is marked Poison and can irritate the eyes and skin. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling and mixing it, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and wash your hands after use.
