Envy Anti-Transpirant and Frost Protectant

AgroBest Envy is a water-based polymer concentrate. Once sprayed and dried, it forms an invisible, breathable film over leaves, stems and fruit that slows water loss without blocking photosynthesis or growth.

Envy can reduce moisture loss through transpiration by up to 50% and increase frost tolerance by up to 4°C. It's non-toxic, pH-neutral and biodegradable, with no withholding period.

What Envy Protects Against

  • Light to medium frost
  • Sunburn and heat stress
  • Wilting in hot, dry and windy weather
  • Windburn and salt spray
  • Transplant shock

It suits fruit and nut trees, citrus, vegetables, herbs, palms, shrubs, ornamentals, turf and flowering plants.

How to Use Envy

Envy is a concentrate, so dilute it with clean water in a garden sprayer. As a guide, around 10mL per litre of water means one 500mL bottle makes up to 50 litres of spray. Add Envy after the water to avoid foaming, and always check the label rate for your use.

Spray both sides of the leaves to the point of run-off, at least 24 hours before frost, heat or transplanting. One application can protect for roughly three to eight weeks. Reapply after heavy rain or once plants put on new growth.

Tips for Best Results

  • Don't spray below 5°C, above 35°C or onto wet plants
  • Avoid spraying during flowering, as the film can block pollination
  • Don't tank-mix with fertilisers or pesticides; apply those first or two weeks after Envy
  • Rinse your sprayer well after use so dried film doesn't block nozzles

Help Your Plants Through Australian Summers and Winters

Envy works best as part of good plant care. A layer of quality garden soil and mulch keeps roots cool and holds moisture, while efficient irrigation gets water where it's needed during heatwaves. Healthy, well-fed plants also handle stress better, so browse our range of garden fertilisers too.

FAQs

What is an anti-transpirant?

An anti-transpirant is a spray that forms a thin film on leaves to slow water loss. It helps plants survive heat, drought, wind and transplanting with less stress.

Does Envy really protect against frost?

Yes. Envy can raise a plant's frost tolerance by up to 4°C by forming a barrier against the ice-forming bacteria and surface moisture that trigger frost damage. It's designed for light to medium frosts.

Is Envy safe to use on vegetables?

Yes. Envy is non-toxic, pH-neutral and biodegradable, and it has no withholding period, so it can be used on vegetables and fruit crops.
