Description
Multicrop Multiguard Snail & Slug Killer 2.5kg
Multicrop Multiguard is a ready-to-use pellet bait for controlling snails and slugs around vegetables, herbs, flowers, seedlings and ornamental garden plants.
Its iron EDTA-based formula is designed to remain effective in cool, damp and humid garden conditions when snails and slugs are most active. The convenient 2.5kg resealable pack is suited to larger garden beds and repeated seasonal applications.
How Multiguard Works
Snails and slugs are attracted to and consume the pellets. After feeding, they stop eating plants and generally return to sheltered areas where they die, so dead pests may not always be visible in the open.
Unlike snail baits containing metaldehyde or methiocarb, Multiguard uses an iron EDTA complex as its active constituent.

Herb gardens

Flower beds
-
Garden borders
-
Seedling areas
-
Potted plants

Always check the current package label before applying the product to a particular plant or growing area.
How to Apply
Apply the pellets after rain or watering, when the soil is moist and snails and slugs are likely to become active.
-
Scatter approximately 70 pellets per square metre
-
Distribute pellets evenly around plants
-
Do not place pellets in piles or heaps
-
Avoid allowing pellets to become lodged in plant foliage
-
Concentrate treatment around visible pest activity
-
Replace pellets only when required by the label
-
Clean up accidental spills immediately
-
Wash exposed skin after application
Using excessive piles does not improve control and can increase the risk of pets, birds or other animals consuming the bait.
Best Time to Apply
Apply Multiguard after rain, irrigation or evening watering when the ground is damp. Snails and slugs are generally more active under moist conditions and are more likely to encounter evenly scattered pellets.
Inspect the garden regularly for fresh chewing damage, slime trails and pest activity. Repeat treatment only according to the current label directions.
Pet, Poultry & Wildlife Safety
Multiguard has relatively low mammalian toxicity, but animals and birds may still find the pellets attractive. It should not be described as completely safe for pets or wildlife.
