Inca Piperazine Solution 125mL: Roundworm Wormer for Poultry, Pigeons and Pigs
Inca Piperazine Solution is an economical in-water wormer for poultry, pigeons and pigs, used to control roundworm. It's added straight to drinking water, which makes worming a whole flock, loft or group simple, and it's a long-trusted, easy option for backyard keepers and small producers. This 125mL bottle is a handy size for smaller backyard flocks, pigeon lofts and hobby farms.
The active constituent is piperazine anhydrous (172.5g/L). It treats roundworm (Ascaridia galli) in poultry and roundworm (Ascaridia columbae) in pigeons, and in pigs it treats roundworm (Ascaris suum) and nodule worm (Oesophagostomum spp). Piperazine works by paralysing the worms so the animal passes them naturally.
A real advantage for anyone keeping birds for the table or for eggs is that there's no meat or egg withholding period, so eggs can still be eaten during and after treatment. Because it treats the current worms rather than eggs still to hatch, a repeat treatment is important to catch maturing worms.

Once it's consumed, provide fresh plain water for the rest of the day

FAQs
What does Inca Piperazine Solution treat?
It treats roundworm in poultry (Ascaridia galli) and pigeons (Ascaridia columbae), and roundworm (Ascaris suum) plus nodule worm (Oesophagostomum spp) in pigs.
What is the poultry dose?
It's based on age, per 100 birds: for example 40mL in 2L water for birds under 7 weeks, up to 90mL in 11L water for birds over 20 weeks. Provide the medicated water according to the number of birds and repeat after 6 weeks.
What's the dose for pigeons and pigs?
Pigeons: 0.5mL per 40mL of water per bird. Pigs: 4mL per 5kg bodyweight in the morning drinking water or mash. Repeat as directed.
Is there a withholding period for eggs or meat?
No. There's a nil withholding period for both eggs and meat, so they can be used during and after treatment.
Why do I need to worm again after the first treatment?
Piperazine clears the worms present at the time but not eggs still to hatch, so a repeat treatment (after 6 weeks for birds) catches maturing worms.
Where can I buy Inca Piperazine Solution in Australia?
Order online for delivery across Australia, or pick up in-store at Bonnyrigg, NSW.
